AECOM has developed ArcIMS projects for four
groundwater conservation districts in Texas: Lone Star GCD (Montgomery County),
Coastal Bend GCD (Wharton County), Coastal Plains GCD (Matagorda County), and
Middle Pecos GCD (Pecos County).
The sites provide drillers and property owners with the information they
need to register wells and apply for operating permits. Information
available on the sites include existing wells, aquifer data, aerial
photography, addressed streets, streams, and surface water bodies.
Users can locate and research existing wells, determine the
latitude/longitude of potential new well sites, and register wells or apply for
new well permits through on-line application forms.
